Huck’s Herniators top Ball Busters for Title

Huck's take season series 3-1

When it came to Ingraham Monday’s Dodgeball, Huck’s Herniators and the Ball Busters dominated in true fashion throughout the season. It seemed fitting that these two dominant power houses should meet in the title bout. Coming into this championship showdown Huck’s Herniators owned the head’s up series 2-1, and ALL THREE COMBINED LOSSES from these two teams came from head’s up play.
Both teams handled the playoffs with ease: Huck’s Herniators (12-1) took down team Big Buck (1-11) with a score of 7-2, then dominated Last Kid Picked (5-8) with a score of 9-0. The Ball Busters (11-2) destroyed Indy #1 (4-8) 10-1, the shut down Chug Life (5-8) with a score of 6-0. Both teams were hot, both teams could smell the title.
The game itself, to no surprise, was a barn-burner. Behind solid defense from Casey Neuberger, Shawna, and Sibylle Haupert, Huck’s jumped out to an early 3-1 lead. The Ball Busters would make it a game responding with the hard throwing Matt. . .(continued)

POTW: Christopher Grant

Last Kid Picked

This week’s player of the week is awarded to Christopher Grant from team Last Kid Picked. Tune in to this evening edition of eleven o’clock ESPN and you’ll find Chris as a top play nominee with not one, but two award deserving catches! Team Last Kid picked was falling under attack from the barrage of laser beams from Huck’s Herniators, but that didn’t stop Chris from catching a bullet in his arm pit as he was diving BACKWARDS. Even after hitting the floor Chris managed to keep the ball from touching the floor! However, the following play may as well be the greatest dodgeball catch this official has yet to EVER witness: The ball was delivered by Mark Snyder, considered the league’s “Nolan Ryan” if you will, our own “Seattle Express.” The ball ricocheted off Chris’s chest like most lasers did, floated up and crossed nearly the entirety of the court deemed “in play.” Mr. Grant never gave up and caught the ball with a FULLY EXTENDED DIVE. If this literary replay. . .(continued)

POTW: Rose Aliverti

Balls 'N' Dolls

Player of the Week is awarded to Balls 'N' Dolls own Rose Aliverti! Although the team struggled a bit playing two strong teams, Rose "rose" to the challenge catching 5 thrown balls in one game to give her team a much needed win! Low balls, high balls, softly thrown, lazer beams...it didn't matter...for Rose Aliverti it was thrown ball = caught ball. Congratulations to Rose for earning this week's top honor!!!
